KCI Expands its Senior Leadership through a Series of Promotions

11/07/2016 KCI is pleased to announce a major expansion in the firm’s senior leadership ranks through a series of promotions. The group of 12 new and promoted officers has more than 120 years of combined experience with KCI—most have spent a major portion of their career with the firm. They represent an array of technical disciplines, geographic locations and management levels.

US 21 Bridge over the Catawba River

US 21 Bridge over the Catawba River

KCI provided project management and design services to replace the existing two-lane structure carrying US 21 over the Catawba River with a 1,000-foot-long, four-lane steel beam bridge. During construction, contractor Lane Construction worked with KCI in designing a lifting frame system to launch 60-ton girders laterally from the existing bridge, avoiding impacts to the river and uncertainty associated with mobilizing barge mounted cranes over the shallow river bottom.

KCI Welcomes Adam Rickey as Regional Practice Leader

KCI welcomes Adam T. Rickey, PE, CPD, as regional practice leader for mechanical, electrical, plumbing and fire protection. He will be responsible for technical oversight, business development, client relations and financial performance. Rickey brings to the firm 11 years of experience in project management and mechanical systems design for institutional, commercial, laboratory, healthcare and governmental facilities.
